# ReaFIR ## Noise reduction You can use ReaFIR to perform noise reduction. Go to Subtract mode.[^1] Check the box "Automatically build noise profile" while playing a sample of just the noise. Then uncheck the box.[^2] Kenny Gioia uses Precise mode and an FFT size of 1024. Press reset to finalize the changes. Click and drag the analyzer with cmd/ctrl to adjust the reduction amount.[^3] ## De-harshing Use Compressor mode. This works best with lower compression ratios. Single-click to create another EQ point. [^4] Audition the Reduce artifacts toggle. A higher FFT size may result in better frequency accuracy but worse time accuracy.
