#### Summary It is only when two dissimilar worlds merge that a Sundering will occur, killing most of the inhabitants of the worlds. !Sundering Era#^6c97bd !Sundering Era#^ca1ad5 !Sundering Era#^fb5f39 --- 1. All worlds are suspended in their own realities by the 9 Exotic Elements, with the guardians of the elements (the Erdu) being the only ones capable of moving between worlds 2. Olivier fucks it all up by finding an element and battling with an Erdu and accidentally 'hopping on the train' to another world, starting the breakdown of the Elemental suspension of the worlds 3. The Void between the worlds continues to breakdown, worlds begin to collide and be forced together with cataclysmic consequences (the actual Sundering) 4. The closed systems that had enough buffer to sustain the use of Source are no longer closed, corruption spreads through the worlds, creating 'Void Behemoth' 5. The corruption can't be stopped, even if the Exotic Elements are returned (the Factions/Erdu's goal), the borders of suspension between worlds is still broken down. A second sundering (reverse sundering) has to happen to put the worlds back into place. Additionally, no Source outside of Intuition and the Exotic Elements (only on their native planets) are able to be used without causing corruption. <!--- Sidenote: that would be a fun mechanic in an MMO of this world: You have your planet's source abilities available on your planet, Intuition based magic everywhere, with the 'option' to do the bad and use corrupting Source, which causes all sorts of chaos—worse chaos the more you use it. Also, could be used as a form of warfare. Hate Planet X? Go there and CAST ALL THE THINGS—with a whole fucking army of Source/sourcecasts all going nuts. Wouldn't have to actually battle, but would cause all sorts of corruption and chaos, possibly enough to wipe out everyone on the planet. --->
