The community knowledge project records what the ant keeping community knows, and disseminates it to allow propogation. > [!Warning] WARNING: This is an unreliable resource > Community knowledge is liable to change rapidly. Content on any community knowledge page **can** and **will** change over time. ## How it works * How information is added * Commands such as `.anthelp` are available for people on the discord to call. * Anyone can add and edit the community knowledge project on the [Ants & Ant Keeping discord](https://discord.com/invite/antkeeping). See [[bothelp]] to learn how. * How it is used * Useful commands are called by community members more than the unuseful ones. * This is recorded as the number of calls for the commands. * Over time, information is split (into different commands) or consolidated (under one command) based on what type of information would serve the community best. * Uncalled commands are bucketed under [[botjunk]] and eventually purged if not removed from botjunk. * How it is connected * Members can call the commands in the chat, which spreads the information shorthand. * Each command has an `up` field and a `related` field to forge connections to other parts of the knowledge base. * The whole thing is published here on ash for easy searching. ## Theoretical foundation The project is an attempt at cultural heredity - information that is useful to share is allowed to be change over time, providing descent with modification. Sometimes the changes are acceptable, other times it makes it less useful.
