# Bondmate A bondmate is a person or persons with whom an individual has formed a bond with (see [[Bonding]] for more info). A bondmate is someone with whom others share a high soul compatibility with. The compatibility of one's soul is not yet understood and many believe it is based on the will of the [[Etherium]]. However, it is typical that bondmates will be in the same [[Caste]] or in an adjacent caste. It is very rare for very high and very low caste members to become bondmates, such as a purple and red.
