The relationship between [[How to sit less and move more]] and [[⭐️ Intermittent Dopamine Fasting]] is important to me because they're both very [[The ONE Thing | high-leverage activities]] to increase my energy levels in order to live a [[The Big Why | more creative, pro-active life]].
They're going at it from two different sides, though: Sitting less is about increasing physical health and physical energy. Dopamine fasting is about mental health and mental energy. It was easier for me to establish and follow rules for dopamine fasting than it was to find a way to sit less and move more often.
## How are they similar?
1. They're both at the top of [[My Most Interesting Things At the Moment]], meaning I care about them and they have pretty high priority in my life.
2. They're both [[The ONE Thing]] of the week
3. They're both about motivation and making better, more [[⭐️ Your amazing YOUness | amazing MEness]] use of my time
4. They're both about my health habits
5. They're both about becoming more creative and focused
6. They're both about doing something that's good for me
7. They're both about feeling in control
8. They're both about increasing energy-levels
9. They're both feeding into my [[The Big Why]]
## How are they different?
1. Sitting less is about physical health and physical energy
2. Dopamine fasting is about mental health and mental energy
3. Sitting less works best when I change the environment (like introducing a standing desk)
4. Dopamine fasting works better when there are clear rules (no junk-internet before the biggest frog has been tackled)
5. It was easier to cut out junk-internet than finding a way to sit less and move more. To sit less I've gone through [[Fitbit reminders (Experiment) | several]] [[Move More with Tiny Habit Creation (Experiment) | different]] [[Sit Less with Improvised Standing desk (Experiment) | experiments]].
