## Ad-hoc connecting - I often add links to notes while I'm creating the note itself ### Adding links to a "Related" - Most often I create a [[#Related]] section and make a list of links to related notes there - This allows me to stub out connections that I might to revist later and integrate them into the prose of the note ## Post-hoc connecting - Regularly, I go back to my existing notes, to tend to the garden, and as I'm maybe refining a description or editing I ask myself *"What does this relate to? What does this remind me of?"* and create links to those ideas ### Useful tools - Use the Obsidian Random Notes plugin to bubble up notes for refining and connecting - Use my [[Obsidian Journey Plugin]] to leverage the connections I've made to discover hidden, new narratives ## Learnings - Overall, I'd say that once you get into the flow of creating links, it's easy, self-explanatory and fun - I find myself having an easier time with the "Related" section than linking in-text ## Linking to empty notes - For me it's okay to create a link to a note even though the note doesn't exist yet because it's more important to me to capture an outline of an idea as it emerges ## Related - [[Creative Remixing]] - [[Digital Garden Trees]]
