## Introduction To better understand and discover exciting new trends, I built this site about 9 months ago. I’ve been collecting the membership counts for all Meetups in New York, San Francisco, London and Berlin since then and now, with enough data-points, I’m excited to see patterns that otherwise I could not have seen. ## What I'm looking for What I’m looking for in particular are Meetups that have had a consistent growth curve over the last 3 months. What I’m concerned about is really the shape of the growth-curve, less the current size of the Meetup. All of this is to keep an eye on small, emerging communities that could be interesting to me and that, given their growth-curves, promise to prosper and grow – hence worth my investment of time and energy. ## Examples To give you an example, here’s today’s New York fastest-growing, top-10 Meetups:  The top Meetup "Girls Night Out Social Events For Women Only” not only had the highest growth-rate (28,800%) but, more importantly, the membership is growing nice and steady since they started out 3 months ago. This tells me that there is a steady, growing demand for ladies to meet up, go out and keep among themselves.  Here are a few more New York-based Meetups that have exceptional growth curves:  and...  and…  Let’s look at a counter-example of what wouldn’t peek my interest based on their member growth-curve. The "Lucid Dreaming & Astral Projection” Meetup, while also with a high growth-rate of 8,500%, has a bumpier, slower growth curve. I’m not concerned about the absolute numbers by the way, I don’t care if they’re 10 or 50 members. But I can tell from looking at the curve that it’s not a super-hot topic per se. (Although, personally I find it an interesting topic.)  ## In summary... If anything, I find it so interesting and inspiring to see what new topics are coming up and which ones are succeeding and how they’re succeeding in growing.
