I’m not exactly sure why, but I read a lot of books this week. It probably coincides with my experiment of not having internet at home at all. In the evenings, I wind up wanting to absorb information and so… there were these 5 books. Don Thompson’s The $12 Million Stuffed Shark One of my favorite books. If you’ve ever wondered how prices in the art market come to be, this book gives you a great introduction. ![](Attachments/7e2ed15fbc91706ef69f10f643f44201.png) Laurie Anderson’s Empty Places A neat collection of the poems/songs she performed for her show “Empty Places.” With poetry, it’s not really “reading” as much as cruising through. Facilitated by Anderson’s lightning-speed wit and care. ![](Attachments/4b67132bbaf43175838b7a5925a08728.png) Jay Jones’s Jim Henson Biography Well, what can I say? It just felt exactly right to reconnect with the life story of one of my biggest heroes. ![](Attachments/a84b6bbb6870805e2baf5c7ce22ad7cb.png) Grant Cardone’s The 10X Rule I’m still digesting the sheer force with which this book shakes and wakes you up. A must-read. ![](Attachments/8687f66e488a73978316a7a584bda337.png) Steve Wide’s Bowie From A To Z Just a fantastic way to end the week on a Sunday night. ![](Attachments/de9844dab6972b573d02a48a0d70e91d.png) **David Foster Wallace’s “This Is Water”** A quick, thought-provoking read. As always, _highly_ entertaining, too. ![](Attachments/eea3b30c7cfccbf77146fe5f69e3c4b9.png) **David Foster Wallace’s "A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again”** Hahaha. Hahahahaha. OMG. ![](Attachments/66e61f1d934e118abc0aafe76f42bdc0.png)
