#stress #strategy
The unspoken "deal" between Consumer and Provider is that the Consumer notices stress through [[Provider Stress Scanning]].
The Consumer then down-regulates their own needs and prioritizes the immediate needs of the Provider to "alleviate" and "solve" the Provider's problems, thus saving oneself through the Provider's "protection".
[[Down-Regulating Behaviors]] examples include "not take up space", "don't bother" and the like.
Part of [[Dependence and Down-Regulation, Survival Strategy]].
