Hi Tobi!
I've thought about what you said about testing and prototyping coming week and I agree:
Let's use a process to help us focus and learn.
I think we've been doing a good job. I think that we could focus even more and move faster if we had a _facilitated step-by-step process_.
So: I suggest to do a 1-week [[Remote Design Sprint]][^1].
This will allow us to:
1. Focus on one customer segment
2. Focus one frustrating moment in their journey
3. Focus on one proposed solution
4. Focus on building one prototype
5. Focus on answering one risky question
The process is spread out over 5 days and looks like this. (You've seen it or intuitively makes sense. I like that it's laid-out what exercises we'll do each day.)
1. **Monday - "Map"** -> Choose one Customer Segment and Target Step
2. **Tuesday - "Sketch"** -> Sketch Solutions & Start Recruiting
3. **Wednesday - "Decide"** -> Design Prototype Storyboard & Continue Recruiting
4. **Thursday - "Prototype"** -> Build Prototype & Continue Recruiting
5. **Friday - "Test"** -> Test with Customers and find next step
Regarding roles:
1. I suggest you are the "Decider" who gets to make the final call in decisions.
2. I would be happy to be the "Facilitator"
3. Felix, Philip and Calum as the super-star team
4. Use myself, my friend Lisa and Felix's friend as "Domain Experts"
I suggest to follow the process "by-the-book" once before adjusting. This means **we do it in one week** and then decide if...
1. The Design Sprint process itself works for us
2. What we need to adjust/learn/test next
Regarding costs:
- The biggest "cost" is to do this in one week with the team. The costs are ya'lls time and focus.
- Customer-interviews are about $60 each via usertesting.com which I think is worth it
- On day 1, 2 we would be re-visiting the work we’ve done but in a more structured way. I think this is okay though.
My questions would be:
1. What do you think?
2. Can we allocate a week to focus?
3. Can we go through this process together?
Let me know and talk soon,
Alexis
