Why is it so hard to drop your biases? Because it requires your mind to drop them. But your mind creates the biases. See the paradox here? You have to use your mind to influence your mind. God is love. Because absolute love is the realization that there is no difference between anything on a metaphysical level. Love is the realization that all division between things in reality, is imaginary. When you realize this, you can love everything identically. Imagine if you went to a buffet. But you couldn’t eat half the dishes. Because you had a bias against them. How sad is that? You can’t appreciate half the dishes because of some arbitrary bias. Perhaps you grew up eating a specific food and want more of that. Unknowingly we do this all the time but with everything. We attach ourselves to things, making it impossible to love other things. God is the ideal best version of ourselves. Anytime we are selling God we are in reality seeking the way to act most virtuously in the moment. It’s people who do this that wrestle with God.
