Status:: #🌱 Tags:: Links:: [[Fiction Writing MOC]] # Story Plots Story plots can be broken up by excitement/excitement, major plot points, or an emotional curve. ### Plot Point Structuring This is the most common type of structuring. The Hero's Journey is a great example. ### Emotional Story Curve In the emotional story curve stories are plotted based on the emotional state of the main protagonist. It was first proposed by Kurt Vonnegut in the 1950's. He plotted stories on 2 axes: • X: Beginning to end • Y: Good fortune / ill fortune The plot is drawn by drawing out the emotional curve of the protagonist from beginning to end.
