### Fan to Friend
Potential Lead Magnets:
- 10,000 Hours of Play Obsidian Journaling Prompt Sheet
- Differences Between Games and Real Life Journaling Cheat Sheet
- Octalysis Framework Journaling Cheat Sheet
Fans would come to the landing page for each of these, download the lead magnet for free, and then be given the option to join each of our individual newsletters. We don't want people to join the email newsletter that don't want to be there.
### Friend to Prospect
We can ask them if they would be interested in receiving word about a larger gamification video course or e-book. If they say yes, we tag them and send them down an email sequence that ultimately brings them to:
### Prospect to Customer:
They receive an email asking if they would like to buy the full fledged gamification course or e-book. There is even the possibility of giving them access to an entire Obsidian vault that goes along with the gamification course or e-book. It would have exercises that people could go through to alongside the course lessons.
My main question is if it's too niche to expect an audience that knows about Obsidian, is also into gamification, and have a history in video games. Is that too much? Should there be the option of just getting the gamification course in the case they don't use Obsidian.
### Lead Magnet Inspirations From Other Creators:
- Thomas Frank: he gives away his e-book 10 steps to getting awesome grades for free to his audience. They don’t even have to sign up for the email list to get the e-book. It’s just an option.
- Nick Milo: [I fucking love Nick Milo’s Obsidian flight school. It’s playful, has a space aesthetic, and is the exact type of long form product that I would like to have.](https://www.linkingyourthinking.com/obsidian-flight-school) He also has a LYT Kit lead magnet that is free subscribers can download by joining his email list.
- David Perell: He has a 50 days of writing newsletter where he goes through 50 days of teaching you how to write. It has epic meaning and calling core drive written all over it. Subscribers feel like when they sign up to that they are committing to learning more about writing and they feel epic.
- Ali Abdaal: He gives away free productivity checklists for people to join.
- Yu-Kai Chou: He has people sign up by getting a free 14 day newsletter about the Octalysis framework.
