Almost every note in your [[Ideaverse]] was made through a combination of many tens of hundreds of small efforts, and your [[MOC]]s were made through even more. ___ I'm thinking about the effort that went into creating my three part series on [[How I Gamified My Life To Enjoy Learning and Studying Part 1|gamification]]. Here's the sequence of efforts that went into its creation: - Captured the content idea of gamifying a reading habit while walking around Beebe. - Read [[Reality is Broken]] by [[Jane McGonigal]]. - Called with my cousin, [[Kassidy Helfant]] and discussed how the idea resonated with his gaming background. - Read [[Actionable Gamification]]. - Started writing the the first part about what differentiates a game from real life. - Created a book summary for Actionable Gamification which later became the [[How I Gamified My Life To Enjoy Learning and Studying Part 1|first part of my series]]. - The original first part became the second part of the series and I started writing the [[How I Gamified My Life To Enjoy Learning and Studying Part 3|third part]]. - My parents and grandfather read over the three parts and gave me feedback - I took their feedback into account and the idea came out on my blog a couple weeks later. - The three part series will go on my YouTube channel. ___ As you can see, this three part series on gamification came out through a whole bunch of small individual efforts. There would be no faster way for me to suck the joy out of the entire process than for me to have made it into a project to get done in a specified time. I believe this is what all [[Notemaking]] is like. You can't put a time or schedule on notemaking because [[Thinking]] requires time.
