My path here wasn’t linear. I started in structured environments focused on strategy, operations, and analytics, before gradually moving closer to open ecosystems where incentives, governance, and impact are harder to model but more meaningful to shape. Along the way, I’ve worked across consulting, product, and research roles, and spent time inside large institutions as well as small, experimental teams. Today, my work centers on designing funding mechanisms, building data tools, and helping ecosystems make better collective decisions, particularly in web3 and climate-adjacent public goods. I’m most interested in problems that sit between disciplines: where technical systems meet human coordination, and where metrics need narrative to actually matter. ## 🧠 Now - **📊 Grant Analytics** — Designing metrics and interactive visualizations for data-driven retrospectives - **🧮 Funding Ethereum Interoperability** — Domain definition, design, and funding for Gitcoin 3.0 - **🪴 Capital Rails for Climate Action** — Verifiable financial plumbing for grassroots climate work ## 🛠️ Recent Work - **GG24 Domain Design** — Co-led Ethereum Interop Standards, Infra, and Analytics Quadratic Funding Round • [Article](https://gov.gitcoin.co/t/domain-announcement-interop-standards-infrastructure-analytics/24631) • [Interop Lanscape](https://gov.gitcoin.co/t/gg24-update-inside-the-interop-standards-infra-analytics-round/24749) • [Grant Round Retro](https://gov.gitcoin.co/t/gg24-interop-round-retrospective/24936) - **Scroll Delegate Accelerator: Metrics Module (2025)** — Developed curriculum on data-driven governance for delegate decision-making • [Curriculum](https://sovs.notion.site/Scroll-Delegate-Accelerator-Week-6-217000c0d59080c49639c0719b718ca4) - **Grant Summit Program (2025)** - Data Driven Retrospective Framework for Grant Managers • [Slides](https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1nH4aWmmIeuCB9WOiSAeaMR8C7Q4-UeeejV4N6xvn9NQ/edit?usp=sharing) [[Portfolio| View Full Portfolio →]] ## ✍️ Recent Essays - [[Retrospective from Surviving A 300 km Cycling Ride]] (Dec 2025) - [[The Era of Digital Distraction - A Co-Production by All of Us]] (Dec 2025) - [[You Can’t Outrun a Misaligned Life]] (Nov 2025) - [[Why 99% of the Self-Help Industry Is Slop - Gust Against Gravity]] (Oct 2025) [[Writings|View All Writings → ]] ## ✨ Off the Track I believe slow miles and metaphors both help in understanding complexity — one through the body, the other through the heart. When I’m not building data tools or navigating funding labyrinths, I’m usually: - 🛠 Fixing a puncture mid-ride on **[[Cycling|roads across Bangalore]]** - **✍️ [Scribbling poetry](https://breathefeellove.in/)** that often feels like debugging emotions ## Let’s Collaborate Open for short-term consulting, grant program design, data tooling, or just riffing on impact systems. If you're building in public goods, coordination, or climate tech, I’d love to hear from you. I also keep a few open 30-minute slots each week for anyone who wants to brainstorm or explore an idea. **📅 [Book a time here.](https://calendar.app.google/eNdwvBGJn8p29r5U6)** → **[📬 Email me](mailto:[email protected])** **→ [🐦 Twitter](https://twitter.com/rohitmalekar) | [Farcaster](https://warpcast.com/rohitmalekar.eth) | [🔗 LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/in/rohitmalekar/) | [💻 GitHub](https://github.com/rohitmalekar)**
